CPR AED
Would you know what to do in an emergency?
Each year, over 350,000 people experience cardiac arrest outside of a hospital, with only 10% surviving due to lack of timely CPR. (AHA) Attending a CPR training class is the first step toward learning how to ensure the safety of your family, friends, and co-workers.
We are excited to announce that we are now offering CPR classes at Big Bear Fire Authority on a bi-monthly basis. We will also offer CPR classes for large groups upon request.
Our CPR classes are taught by experienced Fire Fighters and Paramedics, ensuring that "real-life" situations are addressed so that participants can practice using the American Heart Association’s recommended first aid and CPR protocols in real time. Upon completing the course, each participant will receive an American Heart Association Certificate that is valid for two years.
The AHA's Heartsaver CPR AED Course is a classroom, Instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) use in a safe, timely, and effective manner.
Pre-registration and payment is required the Monday prior to class date. Cost is $75 per person and there will need to be at least 6 people registered in order to run the class. Payment must be completed prior to class to hold your reservation. The CPR/AED class is from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Classes will be held on the second Saturday, bimonthly, beginning in September 2025. Classes will be held at:
Station 281 (Headquarters)
41090 Big Bear Boulevard
Big Bear Lake, CA 92315
